John
Chappell received a
degree in zoology from
U. C. Davis in 1975. John then moved to the Monterey Peninsula to
pursue wildlife studies. Moss Landing and Elkhorn Slough became a
focal point for his interest in photographing shorebirds. In 1980,
John established his own business in ceramic and stone
installation.
His
experience has culminated in the production of tables, lamps and
curiosities in stone, steel and cement. His affinity for natural
materials becomes apparent in all his works.
